Reality of Dreams

In my dreams, a door opens and invites

Encouraged I approach to see

What lies beyond!

Only to find

The same.

Sanaa at Prompt Nights encourages us to explore the significance of dreams, “In dreams we enter a world that’s entirely our own”.

Like abstract art, dreams continue to allude me.

    1. Thank you so much, Catherine for reading. I understand why you find the poem heart-breaking, it’s more like other things in life where one gets expectant and hopeful but end up with the same result. 🙂

  1. Circular dreams are always frustrating to me. I’m glad life isn’t like that (if we keep it from becoming a circle). For if I had to live the same day over and over and over… I would probably go mad.

    1. Thank you, Colleen! Mine too, do recur and can be so frightening as if real. But apparently there’s a lesson to take from a recurring dream, maybe I’m just a slow learner. 🙂

  2. Whistles! ❤? Khaya this is absolutely beautiful 😀 love the idea of dreams being more real than reality itself as they’re no doubt closer to self. Beautifully executed. Thank you so much for participating at Prompt Nights and for your constant love and support ❤?

    Lots of love,
    Sanaa

  3. “Like abstract art, dreams continue to allude me.” I really love this, I have this thing when I wake up and try to analyze my dreams, try to wonder why I dream the way I do, but you are right, mine allude me too.
