A Brighter Tomorrow

Barely conscious, and
halfway through brushing teeth
we realise – a brighter tomorrow has come

Note: Sanaa at Prompt Nights (she is wise) knows that there so much to say but wants us to keep it brief, nonetheless, “Brevity’s the flower that contends not with bunch, rather it blooms”.

But I will add: “With the new day comes new strength and new thoughts.” ~ Eleanor Roosevelt

  1. Somehow my dear friend, these simple but beautiful words give me so much hope. Been feeling down of late and your words have lifted my spirits, even as I tear up. God bless you, Khaya.:-)

  2. So often the most profound thoughts / realisations land whilst carrying out the normal, the mundane. Beautifully written, so much said with so few words – quite a feat! ? Love your poem and also the Eleanor Roosevelt quote at the end – a woman of wisdom.

  3. This is absolutely profound writing, Khaya and on such a timely subject too. Hope and prayers for the future to remain bright.. Amen❤️ Thank you so much for participating at Prompt Nights and for your constant love and support ❤️

    Lots of love,
